Ingredients
Salad Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 ball of burrata cheese
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 cup of sliced cucumbers
Balsamic Dressing Ingredients
- 1/4 cup good quality balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- optional: lemon to zest and juice
Steps
- First we prepare the dressing. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and maple syrup until well combined.
- Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Set aside.
- We can now assemble the salad. In a large salad bowl, gently toss together the cucumbers, strawberries, and basil leaves and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- On a plate, place the ball of burrata on the side and pour the strawberry, cucumber and basil mixture beside it.
- Drizzle the prepared balsamic dressing over the salad, ensuring even coverage. Serve the salad immediately, enjoying the freshness of the strawberries, the creaminess of the burrata, and the aromatic basil.
